Dr. Vincent DeCaen,
president and senior researcher of DeCaen and
Associates, was an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto, where he
obtained his MA (1991), PhD (1995) and MISt (2007).
He continues to publish in academic journals.
For two years he served as research officer at
Friedberg Mercantile, a Toronto-based investment firm that specializes in
currencies and commodities; he was a regular contributor to their industry
newsletter. Since 2003 he has pursued freelance research and writing for
boutique investment firms.
Dr. DeCaen also has
varied and progressive management experience in the non-profit sector,
primarily in co-operative housing. He has received awards for his work and
was inducted into the Co-operative Hall of Fame as founding president of
Dayfoot Family Co-operative, Inc. (est. 1996).
